Pioneer Girls Edge Drury Despite DiGennaro's 20

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Alexus Vergobbe scored 16 points on Tuesday to lead the Pioneer girls basketball team to a 46-44 win over Drury.

 

Brooke DiGennaro scored a game-high 20 for the Blue Devils. Drury got six points from Hailey Shook, and Sarah Lamarre and Mackenzie McGuire chipped in with five apiece.

 

Drury led by three at half-time, 22-19, and went to the fourth quarter tied at 32-apiece.

 

Drury goes to Vermont to take on Brattleboro on Thursday.
