Drury Girls Get Back in Win Column
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Jacinta Felix scored 16 points Tuesday to lead the Drury girls basketball team to a 71-32 bounceback win over Mount Greylock.
“As a coach, you worry about how the girls will respond after we lost a tough road game last Friday,” Drury coach Ian Downey said. “I thought the girls put any of those worries to bed. Defensively we were locked in, we talked and communicated, we ran the offense well, shared the ball well and shot the ball really well.”
Hannah LaCasse and Lily Mirante each finished in double figures, scoring 11 and 10, respectively.
Elise Daly scored eight for the Blue Devils, who put the game out of reach with a 24-9 second quarter to take a 41-17 lead.
Tanley Drake scored 12 to lead Mount Greylock, which got six from Madison Drake.
Mount Greylock (4-3) is at Belchertown on Friday.
Drury (4-2) goes to Agawam on Friday.
