NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Alicia Mitchell scored 27 points Tuesday to lead the Springfield International Charter School girls basketball team to a 49-37 win over Drury.

It was a one-point game at half-time, but Mitchell scored 19 points in the second half to help her team run away with the game.

“I thought my team played extremely hard,” Drury coach Ian Downey said. “So I’m extremely proud of that. Couldn't get anything to fall and ran out of gas late in the late third and early fourth. Mitchell is the real deal. Soft hands, finishes and can make her free throws. She was the difference maker tonight.”

Kayla McGrath scored 20 points for Drury, which got six from Morgan Sarkis and five from Alysa Russell.

Drury (2-1) hosts Monument Mountain on Thursday.
