Lee Girls Win Opener on the Road

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Brianna Hawley and Shannon Finnegan combined for 28 points to lead the Lee girls basketball team to a 42-31 win over Sabis in the Wildcats’ season opener on Friday.

 

Hawley scored a game-high 15, and Finnegan added 13 for the ‘Cats, who led by just one point at half-time but took control in a 13-7 third quarter.

 

Finnegan hit a pair of 3-pointers in that quarter.

 

Lydia Simone, Lena Simone and Sophie Zukowski each scored four points in the win.

 

Lee hosts Mount Greylock on Tuesday.
