Monson Drops Lee Girls on Opening Night

MONSON, Mass. -- Karli Retzel went 10-for-11 at the free throw line on her way to a game-high 20 points, but the Lee girls basketball team dropped its season opener, 42-28, at Monson on Thursday night.

 

Retzel hit one of her 3-pointers and scored 12 points in the second quarter to keep the Wildcats within four, 22-18, at half-time. But Lee managed just 10 points in the second half.

 

The Wildcats travel to Turners Falls on Tuesday.
