GRANBY, Mass. – Giana Carlino scored 15 points, and the Lee girls basketball team used a hot start to earn a 50-27 win over Granby on Tuesday.

Carlino hit a 3-pointer and scored nine points in the first quarter, when the Wildcats jumped out to a 19-11 lead. Lee was up, 31-17, at half-time.

“A great defensive effort tonight,” Lee coach Rick Puleri said. We got off to a hot start on offense in the first quarter by running good sets and taking good shots. Good balance in the scorebook again tonight which to me means we are sharing the ball well.”

Mika Diller scored 10 points for Lee, which got five points apiece from Payton Simmons, Jenna Simone, Tamia Andrade and Mia Puleri.

The Wildcats (7-2) take a six-game winning streak into Thursday’s home game against Renaissance.
