Ware Girls Top Lee

LEE, Mass. – Emily McGrail scored 14 points Friday to lead the Ware girls basketball team to a 40-23 win over Lee.

 

The visitors shut out the Wildcats in the second quarter to take a 25-6 lead into the locker room.

 

“Tough first half for us especially offensively,” Lee coach Rick Puleri said. “Credit to them. They really out rebounded us tonight.”

 

Taylor Salice scored eight of her team-high 11 points in the third quarter to help Lee get back into the game.

 

Mia Puleri backed up Salice with eight points.

 

Lee (1-5) goes to Easthampton on Monday.
