PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Kymani Harley scored 17 points, and the Pittsfield boys basketball team used a 16-2 third quarter to roll to a 52-24 win over Mount Greylock on Thursday night.

“Greylock came out with a lot of energy defensively and crashed the boards well, though giving up size in just about every position,” Pittsfield coach Brandon Mauer said. “I’m proud of the defense my guys played tonight and in the second half we got hot from the perimeter and made a push to put it out of reach.

“An all around team effort, and credit to Kymani for a big night on both ends, taking on [Toby] Foehl and the scoring load. Carter Matthews had another superb night off the bench as well.”

Foehl scored six on a pair of 3-pointers for the Mounties, who were led by Derek Paris with nine points.

Matthews scored 11 for the Generals, who got seven from Joe Cracolici.

Pittsfield (5-2) takes a three-game winning streak into Saturday’s game at Bay State Academy.

Mount Greylock (2-4) hosts Drury on Tuesday.
