Pittsfield Wraps Up Regular Season with Road Win

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Kyle Cardoso scored 15 points Friday to lead the Pittsfield boys basketball team to a 66-62 win over Springfield International Charter School.

 

Freddy Conyers scored 13, and Bri’Awn Thompson added 12 for the Generals, who trailed by one at half-time but took a seven-point lead in the third quarter.

 

“In the second half it was defense that took shape in the third quarter,” Pittsfield coach Jerome Edgerton said. “There was one more push by Springfield, but due to timely free throw shooting, we were able to secure the victory on the road.”

 

Thompson scored seven points in the third quarter.

 

Camden Zerbato and Prosper Ezan Jr. each scored seven in the win.

 

Pittsfield finishes the regular season 12-6 and waits to learn who it will face in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.
