Shepardson Leads Generals Past East Longmeadow

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. – Makai Shepardson scored 16 points Thursday to lead the Pittsfield boys basketball team to a 59-48 win over East Longmeadow.

 

Da’Sean “Nunu” Brown scored 15 for the Generals, who also got nine from Malachai Perry in improving to 2-1 this winter.

 

Shepardson and Brown each scored five points, and Marcello Arienti hit a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, when Pittsfield outscored the hosts, 20-8, to erase a 40-39 deficit and take control.

 

Mike Ferrero scored 34 points to lead East Longmeadow.

 

Pittsfield is off until Monday when it hosts Westfield.
