Herrick Leads Monument Mountain Boys Past Hoosac Valley

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Graham Herrick scored 31 points Monday to lead the Monument Mountain boys basketball team to a 73-59 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

Herrick got off to a quick start with 13 points in the first quarter as the Spartans (3-0) jumped out to a 20-16 lead.

 

Monument Mountain was up by six going into the fourth quarter, but Herrick and Noah Helmke (17 points) each scored six in the final eight minutes to help their team pull away.

 

Izaha Stubbs scored 16, and David Critelli added 11 for Hoosac Valley (1-1), which goes to Lenox on Wednesday.

 

Monument Mountain goes to Westfield on Friday.
