Monument Mountain Knocks Off Granby

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Isaiah Keefner returned to action and scored a career-best 26 points to lead the Monument Mountain boys basketball team to a 79-65, come-from-behind win over Granby.

 

The Spartans, the sixth-ranked team in Division 4 in the commonwealth, trailed the Rams, the No. 3 ranked team in D5, 32-23, at half-time.

 

But Monument Mountain exploded for 39 points in the third quarter to take a 62-42 lead.

 

Keefner scored nine points in the third, when Christian Blanchard scored 12 of his 14 points and Manny Brown scored eight of his 13.

 

Griffin McElroy also scored 13 points in the win.

 

Monument Mountain (16-1) finishes the regular season on Monday at home against Taconic.
