Franklin Tech Boys Hold Off Mount Greylock Comeback Bid

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. – Gabe Mota and Mason Bassett each scored 12 points, and the Franklin Tech boys basketball team held off a Mount Greylock comeback in the fourth quarter to earn a 56-53 win on Tuesday night.
 
Mota and Bassett each scored six points in the third quarter, when the Eagles outscored the Mounties, 20-8, to take a 48-33 lead.
 
Nolan Barnes scored 11 of his team-high 13 points in the fourth quarter to fuel the comeback for Mount Greylock, which outscored Franklin Tech, 20-8, in the last eight minutes.
 
Ward Bianchi finished the night with 11 points, and Brady Auger and Logan Fitzgibbons each scored eight.
 
Mount Greylock (0-13) is back on the road next Tuesday to play Turners Falls.
