Shelsy's Late Scoring Lifts Mounties Past Athol in Class C

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Seamus Barnes scored 11 points Monday to lead the Mount Greylock boys basketball team to a 42-40 win over Athol in the Western Massachusetts Class C quarter-finals.

 

Jackson Shelsy scored all eight of his points in the fourth quarter, when the Mounties outscored the Bears, 18-11, to come from behind for the win.

 

Chase Doyle scored 10, and Max McAllister added six in the win.

 

Third-seeded Mount Greylock (14-5) moves on to Wednesday’s semi-final at No. 2 Greenfield.
