Maynard Boys Top Mount Greylock

MAYNARD, Mass. – Connor Capone scored 18 points Tuesday to lead the Maynard boys basketball team to a 69-37 win over Mount Greylock in the round of 16 of the Division 5 State Tournament.

 

Kyle Monahan scored 17, and Adam Fowler added 16 as four Maynard players finished in double figures.

 

Max McAlister scored 12 to lead Mount Greylock (16-6), which got eight points from Jackson Powell.

 

Sixth-seeded Maynard moves on to play No. 3 Drury in the state quarter-finals. The Blue Devils defeated Lenox, 58-43, on Tuesday night.
