Doyle Leads Mount Greylock Boys Past Athol

ATHOL, Mass. – Chase Doyle scored 18 points, and the Mount Greylock boys basketball team Thursday overcame a slow start to earn a 47-37 win over Athol.

 

The Mounties scored just two points in the first quarter but took a 19-13 lead into half-time.

 

Jackson Shelsey scored 12 points, and Adam Sandifer and Max McAlister added five apiece.

 

Connor Mahoney scored nine to lead the Bears.

 

Mount Greylock (9-4) goes to Smith Academy on Wednesday.
