Wahconah Snaps Skid with Win at West Side

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Jack DuCharme and Evan Alfonso each scored 14 points Friday to lead the Wahconah boys basketball team to a 56-48 win over West Springfield.

 

Cooper Calvert scored 10, and Aidan Hagmaier had nine in the win.

 

After falling behind early, Wahconah outscored the Terriers, 20-9, in the second quarter to take a 32-26 lead at half-time.

 

DuCharme scored six points, and Calvert had five in that second quarter.

 

Wahconah, which entered on a four-game losing streak, improved to 3-7 this winter. It will look to get a winning streak going on Tuesday when it hosts Pittsfield.
