Wahconah Boys' Comeback Bid Falls Short

DALTON, Mass. -- Elijah Maldonado scored 16 points Thursday to lead the Agawam boys basketball team to a 59-54 win over Wahconah.

 

Wahconah rallied in the fourth quarter to cut into a 42-32 deficit, outscoring the visitors, 22-17, over the final eight minutes.

 

Jack DuCharme hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored 10 points in the fourth quarter on his way to a game-high 23 points.

 

He finished the night with five made 3s.

 

Aidan Hagmaier scored 16 for Wahconah.

 

Wahconah (2-6) goes to Taconic on Wednesday.
