Hoosac Valley Boys Edged at Home
CHESHIRE, Mass. -- David Helems scored 12 points Tuesday to lead the Hampshire Regional boys basketball team to a 49-43 win over Hoosac Valley.
Keagan McGrath scored 11 points in the first quarter as the Hurricanes grabbed a 14-8 lead, but Hampshire came from behind to lead, 21-19, at half-time and never looked back.
McGrath finished with a game-high 23 points for Hoosac, which got seven from Colin Rousseau.
The Hurricanes (0-2) host Lenox on Wedndsday night.
