Coughlan Leads Hoosac Boys Past Monument

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Jameson Coughlan scored 19 points to lead the Hoosac Valley High School boys basketball team to a 56-37 win over Monument Mountain on Friday night.

 

The Hurricanes got 11 points from Matt Koperniak as they rebounded from a one-point loss to the Spartans in Great Barrington earlier this week.

 

Brandon Perry led Monument Mountain with 10 points. Joe Aberdare added nine in a losing cause.

 

The Hurricanes took control of the game with a 20-point second quarter that sent them to the locker room with a 33-18 lead.

 

Hoosac Valley (5-5) travels to Pittsfield on Monday night.

 

Monument (5-6) travels to Taconic on Monday.
