Big Second Half Sends Hoosac Valley Past Easthampton
CHESHIRE, Mass. – Adan Wicks scored 21 points Tuesday to lead the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team to a 75-55, come-from-behind win over Easthampton.
Trevor Moynihan scored 16, and Qwanell Bradley added 15 for the Hurricanes.
Jasper Alvarez scored 10 of his team-high 16 points in the second quarter to help the Eagles outscore Hoosac Valley, 23-13 and take a 32-29 lead into half-time.
But Bradley scored nine and Wicks hit a pair of 3-pointers to go for eight points in the third quarter as the Hurricanes outscored the visitors, 27-11, to storm back and take the lead.
Ben Payton scored six of his eight points in the fourth quarter to help Hoosac Valley pull away. Matt Witek also finished with eight points.
The Hurricanes (6-6) are off until next Tuesday when they visit Ware.
