Hoosac Valley Boys Turn Up Defense in Second Half of Road Win
EASTHAMPTON, Mass. – Trevor Moynihan and Adan Wicks combined for 49 points Monday to lead the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team to a 76-59 win over Easthampton.
Moynihan hit four 3-pointers on his way to a 25-point night. Wicks scored 24, and Qwanell Bradley added 11 as the Hurricanes improved to 2-1 this winter.
Hoosac Valley led by just two points, 35-33, at half-time, but outscored the Eagles, 24-7, in the third quarter to take control of the game.
“It was the play of the unit, especially on defense coming out of the half-time break, that was the difference,” Hoosac Valley coach Bill Robinson said.
The Hurricanes are back on the road Friday to visit Pioneer Valley.
