Hoosac Valley Holds Off Pioneer Valley to Get Road Win

NORTHFIELD, Mass. – Frank Field led three Hoosac Valley players in double figures, and the Hurricanes held off a Pioneer Valley Regional fourth-quarter comeback bid to earn a 59-57 win on Thursday.

 

Carson Meczywor scored 17, and Joey McGovern added 14 in the win.

 

Pioneer Valley had the ball with 20 seconds left but was not able to get off a quality shot.

 

Jared Hubbard scored 16 to lead Pioneer Valley.

 

Hoosac Valley (12-6) learns Saturday who it will face in the quarter-finals of next week’s Western Massachusetts regional tournament.
