Percy Leads Taconic Boys into Sectional Semi-Final

FISKDALE, Mass. -- Isaac Percy scored 28 points, and the Taconic boys basketball team played characteristically stingy defense in a 61-42 win over Tantasqua on Thursday in the Western Massachusetts Division 2 quarter-finals.

 

Quentin Gittens added 15 points for sixth-seeded Taconic, which held No. 3 Tantasqua (14-7) to six points in the first quarter to jump out to a 16-6 lead.

 

Taconic (14-7) plays in the semi-finals on Wednesday against the winner of Friday’s game between No. 7 Belchertown (12-8) and No. 2 Longmeadow (14-6).
