Quabbin Knocks Out Taconic Boys

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Dylan Kierman scored 22 points to lead Quabbin to an 81-62 win over Taconic on Friday night in the Western Massachusetts Division 2 quarterfinals.

 

Sixth-seeded Quabbin (13-8) took control of the game with a 29-16 second quarter in which the visitors hit six 3-pointers — three from Randy White for his only points of the game.

 

Shaquille Ardrey scored 10 of his 21 in the third quarter to help Taconic (15-6) mount a comeback, but it was not enough.

 

Mike Taylor scored 13 for Taconic.

 

Quabbin moves on to the D2 semi-finals and a date with Shepherd Hill on Thursday night at UMass' Curry Hicks Cage.
