Taconic Holds off Agawam in Second Half

AGAWAM, Mass. – Kyle McGrath scored 23 points Tuesday to lead the Taconic boys basketball team to a 69-62 win over Agawam.
 
The Thunder took a 31-17 half-time lead after outscoring its host, 20-12, in the second quarter.
 
Quentin Christopher hit a pair of 3-pointers, and McGrath scored seven points in that pivotal second quarter.
 
Christopher finished with nine points.
 
Ceasar Santos scored 16, and Martin Boua added 12 in the win.
 
Taconic (9-1) takes a six-game winning streak into the Hoophall Invitational on Saturday. The Thunder will play New York’s Hackney School at Sci-Tech.
