Maturevich Leads Taconic Past Chicopee Comp

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Christian Maturevich Friday scored 17 points to lead the Taconic boys basketball team to a 57-50 win over Chicopee Comprehensive.

 

Ceasar Santos scored 15 for the Thunder, which played its third road game in as many nights and improved to 5-2 on the season.

 

The Colts led, 11-7, after one quarter, but Taconic caught fire offensively in the second period, outscoring its hosts, 24-16. Maturevich scored 10 points in the quarter.

 

Kyle McGrath finished in double figures with 11.

 

After a busy holiday week, Taconic gets some time off before hosting West Springfield next Friday.
