East Longmeadow Boys Edge Taconic

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. – Mike Ferrero scored 15 points Monday to lead the East Longmeadow boys basketball team to a 43-41 win over Taconic.

 

The Spartans trailed, 20-17, at half-time, but rallied back, winning the game at the foul line, where they were 9-for-14 in the second half.

 

Taconic went 10-for-20 at the line.

 

Jamal Sistrunk led the Thunder with 18 points, and Christian Maturevich added nine.

 

Taconic (0-1) goes to UMass Amherst to play Westfield on Saturday afternoon.
