Taconic Boys Cruise Past Mahar

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Tayvon Sandifer scored 15 points Monday to lead the Taconic boys basketball team to a 69-28 win over Mahar in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B tournament.

 

Maimoudou Bamba scored 13 points, and Jayden McCartney added 12 for the Thunder, who opened the game with a 24-8 first quarter and never looked back.

 

Taconic (17-2) Wednesday in the semi-finals hosts Monument Mountain, a winner at Wahconah on Monday night.
