Taconic Boys Hold Off East Longmeadow for Road Win

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. -- Sean Harrigan scored 21 points Tuesday to lead the Taconic boys basketball team to a 58-53 win over East Longmeadow.

 

Tayvon Sandifer added 14 for Taconic, which outscored its hosts by a margin of 17-9 in the third quarter to break open a game it led by three points at half-time.

 

Sandifer scored five, and Christian Maturevich and Frank Boua added four apiece in that thrid quarter.

 

Taconic then weathered the storm in the fourth as East Longmeadow's rally came up short.

 

Ray Carter scored 23 to lead the Spartans.

 

Taconic (2-1) goes to Westfield on Friday.
