Mount Everett Works Overtime to Beat McCann Tech
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Matt Lowe went 4-for-4 at the free throw line, and Guthrie Davis scored five points in overtime to lead the Mount Everett boys basketball team to a 44-37 win over McCann Tech on Friday night.
Brady Carpenter scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Eagles.
Lowe and Davis each finished in double figures with 10 points.
Mount Everett survived a defensive struggle in the first quarter to take a 4-0 lead but trailed, 15-9 at half-time.
McCann Tech took a 27-22 lead into the fourth quarter, but Carpenter scored eight points in the last eight minutes to help the Eagles come back and tie the game.
Eric Rougeau scored 11 points to lead McCann Tech, which got 10 from Zach Howland.
The Hornets (5-7) go to Hampden Charter on Tuesday.
Mount Everett (9-4) goes to Duggan Academy on Tuesday.
