Eagles Come Back to Beat Ludlow
LUDLOW, Mass. – Matt Lowe Monday scored 13 points, and the Mount Everett boys basketball team overcame a 21-14 half-time deficit to earn a 52-43 win over Ludlow.
“We got off to a slow start, but our defense kept us in the game,” Mount Everett coach Jowe Warren said. “We started clicking offensively in the second half, working the ball to the post to open up our offense.
“[Brady] Carpenter, [Sean] Warren and [Tyler] Jacobs dominated the boards, collecting 28 rebounds combined.”
Sean Warren also scored 12 points, and Carpenter added nine in the win.
Lowe scored nine points in the third quarter, when Mount Everett outscored the Lions, 17-8, to take a 31-29 lead.
“Defense in the second half picked up even more, and timely steals by [Darius] Taliaferro, Lowe and [James] Green helped to close out the game.”
The Eagles (3-2) host Mount Greylock on Friday.
