Filson, Mounties Rally Past Drury Boys
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Cal Filson scored 11 of his game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Mount Greylock boys basketball team to a 56-52 win over Drury on Friday night.
The Mounties rallied from a six-point deficit going into the fourth, partly because of 11 made free throws — six from Filson.
“It was a hard-fought game,” Mount Greylock coach Bob Thistle said. “I was really proud of the kids. They kept their composure and worked to the end.”
Pat Storie scored 15 points, including six in the fourth quarter.
Alex Heck scored 18 to lead Drury, which got 14 from Hayden Bird.
The Mounties (7-4) have won four of their last five. They go to Lee on Wednesday night.
Drury (7-4) will look to snap a four-game losing streak on Monday at Wahconah.
