Moorman's Double-Double Propels Drury

HADLEY, Mass. – Sam Moorman led all scorers with 27 points and grabbed 16 rebounds Friday to lead the Drury boys basketball team to a 60-45 win over Hopkins Academy.

 

Jorge Bond scored 16, and James Varelles added nine – all in the second half as Drury opened up a close ballgame.

 

The Blue Devils led, 23-21, at half-time but outscored Hopkins, 19-11 in the third quarter to build a 10-point lead.

 

Varelles had four steals to go with his nine points.

 

Drury (8-3) hosts Greenfield on Tuesday.
