Wellspeak Leads Lee Boys to Road Win

HATFIELD, Mass. -- Will Wellspeak scored 14 points to lead three players in double figures on Tuesday as the Lee boys basketball team defeated Smith Academy, 48-30.

 

Ben Harding scored 12, and Julian Nejaime added 11 for the Wildcats (1-1).

 

Lee set the tone early by holding its hosts to one point in the first quarter, and it put the game away with an 18-10 fourth quarter that saw Wellspeak score six of his 14.

 

Lee goes to Pittsfield on Thursday to face PHS at the Boys & Girls Club.
