Athol Boys Pull Away from Lee in Second Half

LEE, Mass. – Ben Kearney scored 35 points Tuesday to lead the Athol boys basketball team to a 71-41 win over Lee.

 

After taking a 33-28 lead into half-time, the visiting Bears outscored Lee, 22-16, in the third quarter to pull ahead.

 

Kearney scored 15 points in that quarter.

 

Tyler Bartini scored nine points to lead the Wildcats, who got eight from Omari Smith and seven from Joey Abderhalden.

 

Lee (0-4) goes to Hampshire on Thursday.
