McGovern finished with a career-high 17.

Hoosac Valley outscored the Wildcats by a margin of 11-1 at the free throw line.

"The difference in the game is it’s hard to win when the other team goes to the foul line 19 times in the fouls are 15 to 5," Lee coach Eric Cardinal said. "We have to play more disciplined basketball.

"I was really proud of the effort boys put forth tonight. For as irregular of a season as we’re having, I'm just super proud of the effort this team is playing."

Lee got 17 points from Evan Heath and 13 from Evan Trombley.

The Wildcats (1-3) go to Mount Greylock on Saturday.

Hoosac Valley (10-2) hosts Monument Mountain on Friday.
