WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Zach Ronnow scored a game-high 23 points, including 10 in the decisive third quarter, to lead the Mount Greylock boys basketball team to a 57-56 win over Monument Mountain on Monday night.
"It was a hard-fought game against a good team," Mount Greylock coach Bob Thistle said. "I'm proud of the kids. We fought to the end. It was a nice victory for us."
The Mounties (4-3) trailed, 28-21, at half-time after Conor Prince scored six of his 12 points in the second quarter for the Spartans.
But Mount Greylock came out of the locker room and outscored Monument 22-12 in the third to take a three-point lead.
Sam Dils scored all seven of his points in the fourth quarter to help preserve the lead. Patrick Storie ended up with 12 points for the Mounties.
David Riegel scored a team-high 19 for Monument (4-4), which hosts Lee on Thursday.
Mount Greylock hosts Wahconah on Thursday.
