SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Sean Warren scored 16 points Monday to lead the Mount Everett boys basketball team to a 46-38 win over McCann Tech.
Warren knocked down three of his four 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, when the Eagles held off the Hornets despite being outscored, 18-16, to preserve the win.
After a low-scoring first half, Mount Everett got 3s from Darius Taliaferro (six points) and Matt Lowe in the third quarter to score 16 points and take a 30-20 lead.
James Green scored 11 points, and Brady Carpenter added six for the Eagles.
McCann Tech got 17 points from Zach Howland and 12 from Eric Rougeau.
The Hornets (0-1) host Hampden Charter on Thursday.
Mount Everett (2-1) hosts Duggan on Thursday.
