WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Noah Kane-Smalls and Des Cobb Thursday led the way as the Mount Greylock boys basketball team Thursday overcame an ice-cold start to earn a 42-39 win over Smith Academy.
Kane-Smalls scored 15 points, and Cobb added 14 as the Mounties moved over the .500 mark.
The Mounties scored just two points in the first quarter but came back with 16 in the second to go into half-time with an 18-16 lead.
Smith Academy then went on top, 26-23, through three periods.
In the fourth, Desmond Cobb scored eight of his 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. And Kane-Smalls and Kaden Bouchard also hit a 3-pointer apiece as the Mounties scored nearly half their points in the game to pull away for the win.
Judge Martin scored six points in the victory.
Mount Greylock (4-3, 4-0 Hampshire North) goes to McCann Tech on Saturday night.
