NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The Drury boys basketball team had three players in double digits and were led by Sam Moorman with 25 points in a 70-52 win over Lenox on Wednesday night.

“It's always nice to play at home, we shoot the ball way better at home," said Drury coach Jack Racette, whose team scored its season high.

The Devils started out hot and quickly gained a lead on the Millionaires. Drury had 23 points in the first quarter, its hottest quarter of the night offensively. When the first quarter came to a close after a buzzer-beating 3 by the Blue Devils the margin was 10 points.

Lenox battled back in the second, but the Millionaires weren’t able to keep their momentum going and the first half ended 41-26 Drury.

Lenox’s game plan changed “drastically” when Shaler Larmon had to sit at the end of the first half due to foul trouble, coach Scott Sibley said.

“It really changed what we had planned on doing and how we planned on running our defense,” Sibley said.

Larmon had two quick fouls in the beginning of the game and then racked up another couple and he ended the game with four fouls and only three points.

In the third quarter, the Millionaires came out with fire and scored 14 points, winning the quarter by one but still trailing the game by 14.

The Blue Devils blew the game wide open late in the fourth quarter when they went up by 20. While the Millionaires continued to battle the rest of the game, the deficit was just too large for them to come back from.

Lenox ended the game with three players with 12 points: Chris Lyon, Max Shepardson and Brendan Ward.

Top scorers for Drury included Moorman with 25, Myles Beauchamp with 18 and Jorge Bond with 12.

The Blue Devils (4-2) host Pioneer Valley next Thursday.

Lenox (3-4) is at Mount Everett on Tuesday.
