SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Michael Ullrich scored 24 points, and the Mount Everett boys basketball team Tuesday rode a big second quarter to a 63-37 win over McCann Tech.
Ullrich made four of his team’s seven 3-pointers as the Eagles won for the fourth time in five games and qualified for the state tournament with their 10th win.
Mount Everett was down, 9-8, after one quarter but came back in a big way to take a 30-17 lead into half-time.
Matt Lowe scored 14 points, and Sean Warren added seven in the win.
McCann Tech was led by Jacob Howland with 11 points.
The Hornets (9-7) will try again to get their 10th win on Thursday at Pathfinder.
Mount Everett (10-5) hosts St. Mary’s on Thursday.
