NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Jacob Howland Tuesday scored 13 points to lead the McCann Tech boys basketball team to a 51-35 win over Hampden Charter.
The Hornets got 10 points from Walter Mazza and eight from Jack Dolan in a balanced attack.
"It was a good win tonight," McCann Tech coach Chris Bullett said. "Everyone got involved. I'm proud of the way we defended tonight."
McCann Tech's defense really stepped up in the third quarter, when they held the visitors to three points to build a 43-18 lead after being up by just nine points at half-time.
Mazza scored six points to lead the way offensively in that quarter.
McCann Tech (3-1) hosts Duggan Academy on Thursday.
