CHESHIRE, Mass. – Brody Calvert scored 22 points Thursday to lead the Wahconah boys basketball team to a 68-50 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

“Wahconah led, start to finish, coming out on fire and making six of seven 3s in the first half,” Hoosac Valley coach Bill Robinson said. “Wahconah was in control the entire night.”

 

Pat McLaughlin had a pair of those triples on his way to a 19-point performance. Lucas Pickard, who had three 3s, scored 11 points, as did Jesse Chapman.

 

Joey McGovern led the Hurricanes with 17 points, and Frank Field added 13.

 

Hoosac Valley (6-4) hosts Lee on Saturday.

 

Wahconah (10-2) goes to Pittsfield on Monday.
