PALMER, Mass. – Frank Field scored 33 points, and the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team Thursday pulled away in the third quarter to earn a 79-56 win over Palmer.
Field scored 20 points in the third quarter, when the Hurricanes outscored the Panthers, 29-16, to take a 68-41 lead.
“A rather lackluster game early, and Field asserted himself early in the second half, scoring 28 of his 33,” Hoosac Valley coach Bill Robinson said.
Field also grabbed 15 rebounds, and Qwanell Bradley just missed a double-double with nine points and 12 boards.
Michael Szabo scored 13, and Joey McGovern had 11 in the win.
