GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Griffin McElroy and Khalil Carlson each scored 13 points, and the Monument Mountain boys basketball team rebounded from a heart-breaking Monday loss to earn a 67-39 win over Mount Greylock on Tuesday night.
McElroy knocked down three of the Spartans’ eight 3-pointers as the Spartans improved to 8-4.
“We had a balanced scoring attack with 11 guys scoring,” Monument Mountain coach Randy Koldys said. “Griffin McElroy with a career-high 13 and Khalil Carlson 13 also led the way. Nice win after a tough loss the night before.”
Kyle Wellenkamp hit a pair of triples on his way to a nine-point night. Devon Hanavan added eight in the win.
Mount Greylock got 11 points off the bench from Elias Robinson. Jackson Shelsey scored nine.
The Mounties (8-4) go to Athol on Thursday.
Monument Mountain goes to Monson on Friday.
