BALDWINVILLE, Mass. -- The Naragansett boys basketball team Friday overcame a one-point deficit in the last 34 seconds of overtime to hold off Mount Greylock in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament.
Top-seeded Naragasett (19-2) led, 39-23, going to the fourth quarter, but the ninth-seeded Mounties (15-7) would not go quietly.
Mount Greylock rallied to force overtime.
Naragansett moves on to Tuesday’s sectional semi-finals at Curry Hicks Cage, where it will take on No. 4 Wahconah (17-5), a 73-31 winner over Murdock on Friday night.
