DALTON, Mass. -- The Drury boys basketball team Tuesday defeated Wahconah, 48-44, to win its 10th game of the season and qualify for the Western Massachusetts Division 4 tournament.
The defending sectional champs (10-6) won their second straight game and tied Wahconah for second place in the Berkshire County North Division in the process.
Scott McGuire Jr. led Drury's offense with 14 points, and Tim Brazeau scored seven to go with a team-high 15 rebounds and a pair of blocked shots.
Drury outscored Wahconah, 18-7, in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 28-20 lead and held off a Wahconah comeback in the fourth quarter.
Kevin Huban led Wahconah with 32 points.
Wahconah (10-4, 3-3) goes to Hoosac Valley on Friday.
Drury (10-6, 3-3) hosts Baystate Academy on Friday.
