NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Darian Tovani scored 19 points Friday to lead the McCann Tech boys basketball team to a 58-57 win over Lenox.
Tovani scored six in the fourth quarter, and the Hornets went 4-for-5 at the foul line in the final eight minutes to hold off a comeback by the Millionaires, who trailed by seven at half-time.
“Our team fought right ‘til the end and made the plays we needed to to pull out a tough win,” McCann Tech coach Chris Bullett said. “Darian Tovani was great on both ends.
“I’m so proud of the team for the toughness and grit we showed.”
Lucas Jamros scored 15 and Bruce Davis added 11 in the win.
Averin Paradise scored a game-high 25 for Lenox, which got 12 apiece from Jett Steinman and Luke Patella.
Lenox (9-6) hosts Lee on Tuesday.
McCann Tech (9-5) takes a three-game winning streak into Tuesday’s home game against Franklin Tech.
