NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Jeremy Beany scored nine of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter, and the McCann Tech boys basketball edged Baystate Academy, 78-73.
"Huge win," McCann Tech coach Chris Bullett said. "Beany was so huge all night, and [Bruce] Davis just willed our team to victory.
"[Lucas] Jamros and [Keeghan] Vidal fouled out in the fourth, but our bench stepped up and made winning plays down the stretch. I'm proud of my team for staying together and composed in such a wild atmosphere."
The Hornets (9-4) led at half-time, 40-32, but Baystate was able to close to within one before the Hornets put the game away for their fifth straight.
Davis finished with 18 points, and Vidal scored 14 in the victory.
McCann Tech goes for its 10th win of the season on Friday when it visits Pathfinder.
